Author of "Rock, Rhythm & Blues (a look at the National Recording Artists from the City of Brotherly Love), James Rosin was our speaker for our February meeting. It all took place at the City Line Holiday Inn on Wednesday, February 16, 2005. Rock & Roll Legend Charlie Gracie who is on the cover of Rosin's book was in the audience and spoke briefly before James' remarks.
James Rosin is a graduate of the Temple University School of Communications in 1968. That means he was taught by Broadcast Pioneers members (and former Presidents) Lew Klein & John Roberts.
Rosin has appeared on the "Edge of Night" soap opera when it was on ABC-TV. He played featured and co-starring roles in Mike Hammer, T.J. Hooker, Quincy ME, General Hospital, Cannon, Mannix, Adam 12, Love - American Style and others including two mini-series.
He authored stories for Quincy ME, Capitol and Loving Friends & Perfect Couples. In recent years, James Rosin has written and produced two shows for Public Television, "Philly Hoops: The SPHAS & Warriors" and "The Philadelphia Athletics." His first book published two years ago was "Philly Hoops."
